And I’m back
Well, to be precise I have actually been back a week, in which time I have had to climb a mountain of washing, catch up on a bunch of RSS Feeds, Facebook pokes and the revelation that my Housekeeper has quit her job here to work in the Prison Service.
Portugal was fantastic in many ways (not including the prostitutes and street drug dealers) and yet I’m glad to be back. Must have been the 5 Euros per hour Internet access charge that swung it.
Having this week off work has allowed me to look at the direction and future of this site and my neiloughton.com domain.
I have been researching things like Google Maps / KML integration whereby you can plot your Flickr photographs onto a map whilst geo tagging photographs from an Nseries phone (I’m currently waiting out the Nokia N96). Looking at a Flash Bookshelf as a far more interactive version of my current Coffee table, column on the about me page.
It all takes time? So If you are so inclined, click through the above picture of a rather rare piece of steak (that I ate) to see the rest of the Portugal set.
About a year ago I gave a talk on how I dislike third party applications, and now, I love Flickr.
