Pavatar
Has anyone seen this? Pavatar. What with all the downtime the Gravatar service has been having recently it might be an idea to look for a more local solution.
I like the idea of leaving little images, a kind of signifier I guess, but when something gets popular (read: MySpace post) the service tends to buckle / break / become expensive. Pavatar seems like a solution - even if the Wordpress plugin is in Spanish!
I’m sure there are ways of exploiting this but isn’t that case for a lot of things?
