Sneek Peek

Here is a little screen capture (all be it tilted with a drop shadow!) of the new site design. The new layout features both Del.icio.us and Flickr integration - two services im using specifically to keep content updated more frequently (anyone know if its worth going pro with Flickr?).
For instance, If I email a photograph that I took on my phone to Flickr, it will appear live on the site. The same can be said for Del.icio.us - If i bookmark a site whilst, well, anywhere it will appear as a nifty little aside with a description.
Any thoughts?

Sounds and looks good to me.
I do the same for the moblog but thats just on my site no Flickr involved I just send an email to the site and it appears on the right. I also have a link/bookmark thing too but I just use it for myself so it’s not, at the mo, public (though I had plans to make it so, I’ve just not had the time). However if you have an account from ages ago on my site you’ll be able to use it. It’s just like Del.icio.us, you add a button to FF and you’re up and running. Description, title, tags… you can decide to make it public and in which case any other user on the site can see it and use it.
Your post may just give me the will to make it public.
Nice one.
The thing is, I dont have the know how (If im being honest) to write the code that would perform these things in house…hence me using third party services.
Im quite looking forward to seeing how it all works - It also means I can post everything from work, which is a bit of a pain right now.
Do you have access to your mail box on your server via imap?
(cough) how do i find out?
Ask
True True, let me find out.
Oh i like! So when the new design gonna be launched?
Well, that screen capture is only part of the layout. In total there are four areas:
1. Header
2. Main area - Posts and Flickr RSS
3. Middle section - as per above capture
4. Footer.
The footer needs another half an hour. The header needs background images making and i need to make the pages two columns wide.
There is some work to do. The other question to be asked is, Do i keep the monkey? It might be time to set him free, ha!
I would like to get it finished for Sunday really.
Keep the monkey, it’s the VFB brand!
