Clue Two

Ok, so I’m at work trying to get as much done as I can before I fly to Stockholm tomorrow. I’m not going to have any problems walking out the door tomorrow, you can count on that.

I will be in Stockholm all week on a work related conference. Think back to France last year. This is great but after my visit here last Saturday:

Hard to find records - Birmingham

I may have something like this coming my way:

Pioneer CDJ1000mk3 and DJM 800

It’s been something of a job trying to organise the deliver and postage of my new gear and now im being told its going to take place whilst I’m out of the country.

Hopefully I will be able to post from Stockholm and hopefully ups wont know what a CDJ1000 is or a DJM800 for that matter!

  1. Ooooh the CDJ1000 MK3… was drooling over these a couple of weeks back. I’ve used the MK2 quite a bit and they’re pretty cool, but the mp3 capibilities of the MK3 look nice. *sigh* time to start saving! Especially if I want a nice Allen & Heath mixer to sit between them!

  2. I looked at the Xone 3D but it was £600 more than the DJM800 and that was already £1000. There isnt too much to argue between the two mixers especially as I will only be using Ableton now and again.

  3. The DJM800 looks quite nice actually and not a bad price. Although with the sterling/euro conversion rate I’d be in for a shock! :)

  4. Yeah I did my homework on the DJM800 and all seems well. It’s like the rep said, if your going to get a pair of Pioneers then you might as well go the whole hog and get the mixer that was designed to interact the best with the players.

You also have to look at the asthetics. I wont really be touring with this equipment so it has to look good in my loft.

  5. there is a little record shop in stockholm that is the best ever has records that ive not seen for years, its brill, its up the hill near the pub that over looks the city when your going up the nice bit with the pubs and that….(useless?)

Ill get the address if u wish

  6. Im staying in the Rica, which is on the main shoppnig street. There are plenty of bars and pubs, most of which over look the city.

    Stockholm is like London really.
