The V.Smile from VTech
Whilst having dinner at some friend’s house tonight, our favourite little youngster was playing on one of his new Christmas presents.
The V.Smile (made by VTech) is like a Playstation for juniors running on the old style cartridge format for extra cool points.
However the real cool feature is that the control pad is configurable so that it can be used by both left handed and right handed people. The button pad simply swivels round onto the other side.
With accessibility in mind its very rare that you see this kind of thought in motion. At work we have been searching for a left handed digital camera, I don’t think they even exist.
So, much Kudos to VTech for starting things off on the right foot. I wish the V.Smile had been around when I was younger; it could have been the pre warm-up to the Master System – Wonder Boy!

Check out http://www.lefthander.com my friend bought a left handed SLR from there. Not sure they do/did a digital one though.. Worth a look..
